SOM NATURA

Som Natura is an immersive exploration of biodiversity that invites visitors to rediscover their connection with the living world. Conceived as a large-scale sensory immersive experience, the exhibition unfolds through striking natural imagery and evocative soundscapes that reveal the beauty, complexity and fragility of ecosystems across the planet. Through a carefully orchestrated sequence of visual and atmospheric environments, the project celebrates the interdependence of all forms of life and encourages reflection on our collective responsibility toward the natural world. Presented across several CaixaForum centres, the exhibition speaks to audiences of all ages, combining scientific insight with emotional resonance to transform awareness into engagement.

As exhibition designers, our role focused on translating this narrative into a spatial experience that supports immersion, clarity and participation. We developed the overall distribution of the space and its adaptation to each CaixaForum venue, shaping the visitor journey from arrival to mediation areas. The graphic panels, circulation logic and spatial sequencing were conceived to guide the rhythm of the experience and reinforce its thematic structure. Special attention was given to the mediation spaces, where interactive modules encourage children to engage physically and intellectually with the content. The result is an exhibition environment where image, space and interaction converge to create a cohesive and memorable encounter with nature.
